Vision & Roadmap

...

This is a summary of the general societal roadmap proposed by HappyBein, based on the analysis in the YeahSight articles. Each step links to its background.

Some statements still need further clarification and support. This roadmap is meant to be discussed and improved.

Facilitate the education and support of people’s generic goals. This speeds up positive change through better individual productivity and well-being.

2. Shift to plant-based food and give space back to nature

Section titled “2. Shift to plant-based food and give space back to nature”

Transition to plant-based consumption and release space to nature. This improves wildlife well-being and increases CO₂ storage in forests.

→ Background: Earth Land — View per Individual, Fair Space Sharing and Plant-Based Consumption

Transition to renewable energy, mostly solar, combined with geothermal and wood/biomass for storing energy between seasons. Two levers can speed this up:

  • a tax on non-renewable fuels, redirected to the development of renewables
  • indexing the energy price to solar output, so that use naturally shifts to when solar energy is at its peak, and seasonal storage becomes worth developing

→ Background: Clean & Safe Energy

Set up a standard, time-limited budget for every individual and entity, dedicated to basic needs: food, energy, housing, education, health and insurance. It works like a universal income, but ensures it is used for its intended purpose.

→ Background: Universal Allowance

5. Phase out financial inheritance and donations

Section titled “5. Phase out financial inheritance and donations”

Remove financial inheritance and large donations, which are sources of inequity and insecurity, and redistribute accumulated assets fairly through the public system.

→ Background: Inheritance

Reduce the resources each person uses to a level that still gives enough comfort and productivity. More efficient infrastructure and the automation of tasks make this possible.

→ Background: Enhanced Automation and Life After Automation

Together, these steps are likely to make the world safer, and fairer among humans and all sentient beings. Some of them are already happening, but often slowly, held back by inequity and a lack of security.

They will take time to take shape. But the more we support them, the faster they will happen.
